THE HOLY STORY
Holy Sheet was born from a simple realization: we all go to the toilet, but our toilet paper consumption is costing both the planet and our wallets unnecessarily. The Swedish forest industry is logging at a rate that threatens our most valuable forests, and plastic packaging continues to pollute the environment. We realized there had to be a better way – a way to make a difference, one wipe at a time.
With this in mind, we created Holy Sheet: 100% bamboo-made toilet paper, a sustainable solution that is as soft and comfortable as traditional paper, but without contributing to deforestation or plastic pollution. Bamboo grows quickly, requires less water and resources, and is naturally antibacterial, making it a superior alternative to paper made from trees.

We started Holy Sheet to prove that sustainability doesn't have to be boring – it can be stylish, smart and downright awesome. Let's save the world, one roll at a time.
frequently asked questions and answers
Why should you have bamboo toilet paper?
Bamboo – our green favorite!
Did you know that bamboo is actually a type of grass? Yet it has properties similar to hardwoods, making it a great alternative for creating toilet paper.
Here's why we love bamboo:
• Grows quickly – Bamboo grows incredibly fast and can be harvested multiple times without the plant dying. Bamboo can grow up to one meter a day – talk about fast growing! Compare that to a regular tree, which can take up to 20 years to grow back. This makes bamboo a much more sustainable and efficient alternative to meeting our needs without burdening nature.
• Efficient water use – Bamboo is twice as water efficient as trees.
• High yield – With a harvest of up to 150 tons per hectare, bamboo beats trees, which on average yield around 25 tons.
• Naturally antibacterial – Bamboo does not need pesticides.
• Nutrient storage in the roots – No fertilizer is needed because the bamboo stores nutrients in its root system.
• Environmental hero – Bamboo absorbs twice as much carbon dioxide as trees and produces 30% more oxygen.
• Soft and durable – Perfect for creating soft, naturally antibacterial toilet paper.
Bamboo is truly one of the most sustainable resources we have – and we're totally sold on it!
What do your agreements look like?
Our agreements are completely flexible and tailored to your specific needs – no two agreements are the same.
We usually sign contracts on an annual basis, where we together agree on the volume and delivery interval that best suits your business. Flexible and tailored to you!
Isn't paper made in Swedish forests already sustainable?
The Swedish paper industry is unsustainable because it is one of Sweden's largest carbon emitters and uses methods such as clear-cutting, which release large amounts of carbon dioxide from the ground. In addition, it takes 20–40 years for replanted trees to reach a level where they can compensate for these emissions.
Bamboo is a much better alternative because it grows up to one meter per day, can be harvested without the plant dying, and absorbs more carbon dioxide while requiring fewer resources. By choosing bamboo instead of wood pulp, we contribute to a more sustainable and climate-friendly future.
What certifications are there?
The best guarantee that our bamboo is sustainably grown is its FSC certification. The FSC label not only ensures environmental sustainability, but also supports the core conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO). This means that we not only protect the planet, but also the rights of workers, so that both nature and people are treated with respect.

WHO IS SO PASSIONATE ABOUT TOILET PAPER?
Holy Sheet was founded by Henrik Hellbe and Ronja Bohman, two experienced entrepreneurs with backgrounds in e-commerce, web development, and the paper industry.
When we saw how the Swedish paper market had been stagnant for decades, while the bamboo industry was flourishing internationally, we decided to bring this innovative thinking home to Sweden.
With Holy Sheet, we wanted to create a modern, sustainable solution that combines innovation with care for both the planet and people.
